The decor… read more was out of a magazine, but had all the modern amenities you could want. There is even a washer/dryer. We loved this cottage. It is so lovely and cosy but still spacious enough for 4 people with all the amenities of a home from home. It is comfortably furnished… read more with everything you need and has a ‘feel-good’ factor about it. The location is ideal, being opposite a traditional pub serving food with many other pubs and restaurants in the town centre which is literally a few minutes walk from the house. The house is located at the bottom end of the town so is ideal for a walk in to town, around and back down. There are a couple of free parking spaces out front but if they are taken there is also a large public car park right opposite (Maugersbury Road) We will definitely come again.

Comfortable and charming – Broad Oak Cottage is a charming, comfortable cottage perfectly located for the centre of historic Stow-on-the-Wold. The cottage is a delight. It is well maintained, pretty, and equipped… read more with every modern convenience you could wish for. The owners keep the cottage in immaculate condition. It is clean, tidy and comfortable in every possible way. Evidently, much thought went into renovating, decorating and furnishing the property. My wife and I spent four days in Broad Oak Cottage and what we particularly enjoyed was not moving our car from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We spent parts of each morning in the cottage, reading or watching DVDs, or walking around the local countryside. Later in the day we would go into the town to visit the local antique shops and art studios. And in the evening there were more than enough decent pubs and restaurants to keep us entertained. Stow-on-the-Wold is a lovely place to visit and I couldn’t recommend a better place than Broad Oak Cottage to use as a base. The cottage would best suit a couple or a couple with young children. The large bed is certainly very comfortable, the central heating works perfectly, and everything in the kitchen functions just as you would want it to. My wife and I would recommend this tastefully presented cottage without reservation. With luck, we’ll be back there ourselves some time very soon!
