If you don’t want to cook at home there are many excellent options. We particularly enjoyed D’Ambrosi Fine Foods which is a gourmet take-away on Digbeth St. Just a few minutes up the road.
Parking is on the street and we did not have a problem parking either in front of the home on Park St. or just around the corner on Lower Park St.hq620

The owner is very accommodating and has a US bank account, which made arranging the financial arrangements very easy. 01/01/1970Gem of a cottage – superb location – This pretty little cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the owners provided many thoughtful touches – chocolates, wine, crackers, a full log basket and a welcome food package –… read more which were much appreciated. The kitchen is one of the most superbly equipped that we have come across in holiday accommodation. We didn’t have any problems at all, but it was reassuring to know that the owners were only a telephone call away. Great location – gentle stroll into the centre of Stow and plenty of charming shops and restaurants. Absolutely perfect place to spend a much-needed restful week.

It is clean, tidy and comfortable in every possible way. Evidently, much thought went into renovating, decorating and furnishing the property. My wife and I spent four days in Broad Oak Cottage and what we particularly enjoyed was not moving our car from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We spent parts of each morning in the cottage, reading or watching DVDs, or walking around the local countryside. Later in the day we would go into the town to visit the local antique shops and art studios. And in the evening there were more than enough decent pubs and restaurants to keep us entertained. Stow-on-the-Wold is a lovely place to visit and I couldn’t recommend a better place than Broad Oak Cottage to use as a base. The cottage would best suit a couple or a couple with young children. The large bed is certainly very comfortable, the central heating works perfectly, and everything in the kitchen functions just as you would want it to. My wife and I would recommend this tastefully presented cottage without reservation. With luck, we’ll be back there ourselves some time very soon!
